Structure of PB connector 6ES7972-0BB50-0XA0

Bus connection for the first and last node on the PROFIBUS. The cable must always be connected on the left (see marking A1, B1)
Switch setting for the first and last node on the PROFIBUS: ”ON” (terminating resistor connected)

Bus connection for all other nodes on the PROFIBUS. The feed cable should always be connected on the left (A1, B1). The continuation cable should always be connected on the right (A2, B2).
Switch setting for all other nodes on the PROFIBUS: ”OFF” (terminating resistor disconnected)
Tip: When the switch is in the ”ON” position, the PROFIBUS to the other nodes is disconnected at this point (e.g. for services purposes).
